Enid Boynton and Sandra Blyton
We have a Sandra Boynton mug. It's got a lot of cats on it, with one different feline, and it says, "You're one in a million." Where did I get it? I don't remember. Sorry to whoever gave it to me (K?).
Anyway, I used it for Emily's hot chocolate yesterday, and for a few minutes I got confused and thought it was "Enid Boynton," until Emily said, "Enid Blyton?" And then I realized my mistake. Not the Famous Five, the Secret Seven and the Faraway Tree, rather Hippo Birdie Two Ewe.
Which let us to look it up...and we found Sandra Boynton's very funny website.
E.g. Underneath the title of her site, in the header banner: "Trying to think of a motto since 1973"
Read her very entertaining autobiography. I laughed aloud at least five times.

Unrelated but interesting for homeschoolers (well, they might read Enid Blyton and try to draw like Sandra Boynton, or read her books, too):
Time.com article on German homeschoolers who won asylum in the USA for persecution in Germany against their schooling plans.
We live one hour from Germany.
