Streetlights are for Snow Detection

Today my 11-year-old daughter, Emily, became a fan of all these Facebook Pages (and several more):

  • It Takes Talent to Trip Over Nothing.
  • When your pencil flies out of your hand randomly during class.
  • Saying "ow" even though it didn't hurt, or happen to you.
  • I Have Died Over 147 Times for Not Having Forwarded Those Chain E-mails.
  • Attacking the Vending Machine When Your Food Gets Stuck.
  • I'm not clumsy, the house just wants to kill me.
  • I LOVE this song so... I'm going to listen to it 100 TIMES IN A ROW.
  • Looking at a streetlamp to see if it's snowing.
  • I WANNA PLAY A MASSIVE HIDE AND SEEK GAME IN IKEA!!!
  • The things people say when they are half asleep.

And the most appropriate page:

  • I read the group name, I laugh, I join, I never look at it again.

As for me, I really do look at the streetlight many evenings to see whether it is snowing. We have one right outside our back yard, that we can see from the dining room, the living room and our bedroom. And I "get to" listen to all the songs the kids play over and over and over again.
