Frengermanish Valley Speak

That's a combination between a French accent, beginning German, and slang American English. In black I will translate what I think was meant.

Heard last week:

- Yeah, but, ich denke dass... (I think that)

- Du bist die erste Person dass, like, bezahlt Visa früher... (You are the first person who pays Visa earlier)

- Du nicht, like, warte ein Bißchen... (You don't wait a little...)

- ein Paar, like, Sätze... (a couple of sentences)

- Nur, like, de fünf... (only the 5th...)

Heard today:

- Ich war, like, in Engelberg... (I was in Engelberg - a ski resort)

- Das war, like, sehr einfach. (It was very easy)

- It's nicht günstig, but it's like... (It's not cheap, but...)

- Ich denke dat, nur die Verkehr ist like... (I think that only the traffic is...)

- ...für like zwei Tage... (for about two days)

- Ich will like nicht in Zürich... (I don't want to [something] in Zurich)

- Ja, but... (yes...)

- No, because denn Leute finde besser... (then people find it better...)

- Es gibt andere, like, Unterschied? (Are there other differences?)

- Kann mann, like, benutzen... (Can one use...)

I just couldn't believe my ears. I couldn't stop smiling last week, but this week I was getting more used to this most interesting speaking style. Next week I might not even notice anymore? Then again it might take longer.
