Linda Dillow: "What's it like to be Married to Me?"
Some favorite quotes from Linda Dillow's new book What's it like to be Married to Me? so far:
p. 46 "Thinking about what you're thinking about is very valuable."
p. 47 "You are going to become what you dwell on."
p. 51 "God is against griping."
p. 54 A Spurgeon quote: "We do not show our trouble to the Lord that He may see it, but that we may see Him. It is for our relief, and not for His information, that we make plain statements concerning our troubles. It does us
much good to list our sorrows."
p. 56 "sophisticated nagging" - oh dear, must learn to watch myself for that...
p. 68 "God forbid that when your daughter grows up, she says, 'I learned to gripe from my mom.'"
p. 70 "I wanted to be caught up in His lovingkindness before I leave my bed each morning and to delight in His faithfulness as I go to sleep each night." (from Ps 92:1-1)
Have you read any Linda Dillow books? This is my first, but it was recommended by a friend who has read many of them and loved them all.
