Skiing with David and David

My husband is David. My eldest brother is also David.

They are both excellent skiers, and I love to watch them in action. It's a real treat to be on the mountain with them both, and this hadn't happened since 2002 in Colorado. After that 8-year hiatus, we had fun together at Engelberg this weekend (our 3rd time there this season, and 4th time since we moved to CH in 2008). It was apparently -25C (-13F) at the top of the Titlis in the morning when we started skiing (my jacket thermometer read -19C "only" / -2F). But it warmed up with some sunshine in the afternoon (only -5C/23F). Truly lovely with the 30 cm / 12" of fresh powder from the snowstorm the day before! God answered all my prayers for great conditions for our last day, and the only one with the two Davids.

1. Jason and the mountain (at the top of the yellow" slope - a never-groomed black)
2. Brother on the left; son on the right; stranger in the centre (middle of the yellow slope)
3. David and David at the bottom of the yellow
4. Jason's skis and poles (and legs) are under the snow there somewhere. He found all the deepest powder :-)
5. I took this last shot over my head backwards, blind, while skiing, and really like it! That's my bro!
